A duck!

Hard to believe: Yesterday a wild duck from the nearby river arrived to try out our pool. The animal stayed overnight and then left. Maybe the space is suited better for our guests, but not so much for ducks ...

The new pool (6 x 10 m) is waiting for you! 
The water is really wonderful: natural water from our well, suited for drinking. It is kept clean using a special cleaning facility needing only a tiny amount of chlorine.

New Holiday Home Open to the Public!

Casa Ouro is now open to the public. All our hard-working helpers did a good job. Everything is new and comfortable, and of high quality standard. The house is really spacious: a comfortable double room, a large bathroom, kitchen and living room on the ground floor, 2 twin rooms and one more bathroom on the 1st floor. Our site http.//www.quintadosobral.com already contains details. Come and see! We already had guests here, a group of 8 cyclists. They all were enthusiastic!

Springtime!

Every year in springtime the Quinta is covered with wonderful blossoms. These apple blossoms are the last ones after all others including citrus.

Woodruff

This is not a secret: it seems to be quite difficult to germinate woodruff seeds. But we succeeded. Bernhard put 15 seeds - kept in damp soil - into the refrigerator for 4 months. And they germinated! In the end Bernhard had 5 tiny plants. In May he put them outside. Two of them did not survive, but we have 3 nice plants now.
